T7451 and T7651 plate
7050 is used for thick aerospace plate where strength, toughness and stress-corrosion performance matter. Its lower quench sensitivity is useful in thicker sections.
T7451 and T7651 are solution heat-treated, stress-relieved and overaged plate tempers. T7651 has higher typical strength than T7451. They are separate requirements; select the drawing’s specified temper from the currently available options.
Machining and applications
Carbide tooling and cutting fluid are useful for heavy cuts and deep pockets. Confirm machining allowance and grain direction before ordering. Large pockets and thin finished walls benefit from a planned roughing sequence.
